The Aeriatros are a birdlike race.
The Aeriatros are a birdlike race. They stand on two taloned legs and fly with a pair of large wings. At the edge of their wings are small three-fingered hands. Their head is distinguished by a long, hard beak. Befitting their birdlike nature, they are covered with feathers of all sorts of colors and patterns. There is no cultural significance attributed to the plumage of an Aeriatros.
Due to the nature of their respiratory system and its structure, Aeriatros are unable to breathe in low-pressure environments. If they do so, their lungs will rupture. As such, the Aeriatros have created technology to assist in regulating air-pressure. These enhancements are typically implanted into their bodies, but some Aeriatros prefer to wear an exterior device or undergo modifications to their respiratory system.
